At Gahumi, we manufacture custom cotton tote bags in our own factory, drawing on 32 years of industry experience. When you place an order with us, you are dealing directly with the company making your bags. The photographs below show our factory buildings, workshops and warehouses.
Direct factory contact helps your buying team clarify details such as handle length, panel colour and logo placement before approving production. We can review those choices with you while the design is still being developed.

Direct contact with the factory making your bags
You can discuss changes with us before committing to an order. If a wider base affects fabric use, or a longer handle changes the construction, our team can review it with the people responsible for production. You get an answer tied to the bag you want to make.
We quote your project directly. Different fabric weights, panel layouts or branding options can then be priced against the same brief, so you can compare the cost of each change. You can also compare quantity assumptions in our custom tote bag MOQ guide before requesting a factory quote.
What 32 years of experience brings to your order
Our 32 years of industry experience are most useful while the specification is still being worked out. Fabric weight affects the feel of the bag, but so do the panel shape, seam construction and handle attachment. These choices need to work together.
A small change to the pattern can affect several later operations. Moving a strap across the front panel may reduce the space available for a logo. Adding a bottom panel creates another seam to finish. We discuss these details during development, when you can still adjust the design without changing a bulk order.
Agree the materials before production starts
Tell us what you need for the body, handles, contrasting panels and any lining. If those textile components must be 100% cotton, include that requirement in your brief. Threads, labels and other trims should be specified separately.
Bring your target fabric weight or a reference sample. We can review the material alongside the construction and intended use. Any material documents or tests needed by your buying team should be discussed before the order is confirmed.

Customise the bag around your design
Your reference image is a starting point. We review the finished dimensions, base depth, handle drop and panel layout with you before turning the design into a sample. Pockets, closures and labels can be included in the discussion where they are part of your brief.
For a two-tone cotton tote, mark the colour of each component. A contrasting base, side panel or pair of handles changes both the appearance and the assembly. With sewn colour blocking, the contrast comes from separate fabric pieces. An effect created by printing needs its own artwork and material review.

The photograph shows fabric preparation in our workshop. Preparing the material and agreeing the cutting layout are practical parts of making the design repeatable across an order.
Plan the branding with the construction
Send us your artwork with the required logo size and position. We review the branding method against the selected fabric and the way the bag will be assembled.
On a panelled bag, check where the design sits in relation to seams, pockets and handles. Agree the fabric colours and branding on a physical sample before approving production.

Use the sample to agree the finished bag
A mockup helps you review the layout. A finished sample lets you judge the bag itself. Put in the items it will carry, try the handles and check the shape when filled. Your approval should cover the construction as well as the appearance.

Gahumi sewing staff work at industrial sewing stations.
Our sewing workshop is where panels and handles become a finished bag. Before approving your sample, check the inside seams, base corners and opening. On a two-tone style, look at the panel joins and the alignment of the contrasting parts.
Measure the dimensions and handle drop against your specification. Compare colours with the agreed physical references, then check the logo size and placement. If you require wash or load testing, agree the test method and acceptance criteria with us during development.
Record sample changes in writing and keep an approved reference. That gives your buying team and our production team the same standard to work from. For a reorder, refer back to the approved sample and identify any changes to the material, design or packaging.
Quality checks follow the production work
Having our own factory lets us address a production question where the work is happening. Our quality checks cover the material, cut components, sewing, branding and finished bags. The approved specification and sample provide the reference for the order.
The points that matter depend on your design. For a custom cotton tote bag, they include the following.
Fabric and cut panels checked for visible defects, colour differences and dimensions.
Panel joins, seam finish and handle attachment checked during sewing.
Branding checked for its agreed position, colour and finish.
Finished bags and packing checked against the order requirements.

The packing photograph shows printed bags being prepared in our factory. Specify how you want your order packed, including any individual packaging, barcode labels or carton marks. If your European warehouse or retail team needs particular information on the cartons, include it before packing begins.
Before confirming your order, agree any required inspection records, testing or third-party inspections with us. This keeps the inspection requirements clear for both your buying team and our factory.
Plan production and delivery around your arrival date
Tell us when the goods need to arrive and where they are going. We review the schedule against the material requirements, sample approval, order quantity and construction. Production time and transport time should be confirmed separately, with sampling included in the overall plan.
For a fixed retail launch or event date, raise the deadline in your first enquiry. It helps us assess the project before you commit to a specification or shipping arrangement.

Send your brief directly to Gahumi
If you are looking for a custom cotton tote bag manufacturer with its own production facilities, send us your design and buying requirements. You do not need to have every detail settled before getting in touch. A reference image and a rough quantity are enough to start discussing the project.
For a more detailed quotation, include the following.
Order quantity, dimensions and your reference design.
Fabric requirements and colours for the body, panels and handles.
Logo artwork, labels and packaging requirements.
Delivery country, required arrival date and any testing or documentation needs.
We will review your brief, discuss the production options and prepare a quotation. You will be working directly with Gahumi, backed by our own factory and 32 years of industry experience.
